Derek is a supervising Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Ohio, holding the nationally recognized designation of Certified Rehabilitation Counselor through the CRCC. He earned his Ph.D. from The Ohio State University, a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling Bowling Green State University, and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Central Michigan University. With a focus on child and adolescent therapy, Derek specializes in working with pre-teens, teens, and transitional youth through college age. A dedicated suicidologist, he addresses suicide, self-injurious behaviors, and mood disorders, while also tackling behavioral issues substance abuse, parenting challenges, and family therapy. Derek is the CEO of Perrysburg Counseling Services.
